Batman begins and the dark knight questions?
Hey y’all I wanted to ask about the new movie “the dark knight” and “batman begins”. First off I loved the first one it has amazing writing and great action while being extremely uplifting and influential at the same time. When the dark knight came out I don’t know what it was but it felt off. not as character heavy as begins was. I felt as though there wasn’t enough bruce wayne (although he had his character defined deeply in begins), batman (seems like he is still getting his bearings in these movies), harvey dent, two face, or joker. Did anyone else feel this way? Have you figured out what exactly was missing that made it feel different? Does the dark knight feel like a way better movie after watching it immediately after batman begins while it is still fresh in your mind? I’m not trying to bash the movies or anything but I really did love the dark knight but something about it left me a tiny bit disappointed and I am trying to figure out what exactly it was
I thought all the characters were developed as deeply as they could be, imho. My ONE character complain is with the Joker. Ledger gave a phenominal performance, but he just wasn’t…. Jokery. The Joker we’ve all known and loved throughout these near 70 years wouldn’t burn a mountain of money to make some deep philosophical point; he’d spend it all on the construction of a ridiculous giant prop to terrorize Gotham with. *lol*
