Batman Beyond Batmobile

batman beyond batmobile
In Batman Beyond Episode #46 – The Call: Part 1, who was the traitor in the Justice League Unlimited ranks?

Superman drafts Batman into the Justice League Unlimited when he suspects there is a traitor among them. Batman ferrets out the traitor, and the reason for his treasonous behavior. It all comes down to a one-on-one battle between Batman and one of the greatest heroes of all time. Tim Daly didn’t reprise his role as Superman from Superman: The Animated Series . Christopher McDonald, who voiced the character’s father Jor-El, took over the role. The two part episodes served as a basis for the new animated series Justice League. The Batmobile from Batman: The Animated Series made a brief appearance. (Copied verbatim from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Batman_Beyond_episodes)
Thanks in advance for all your help guys. An extra question would be what did the older Bruce Wayne give Terry to defeat the Starro controlled Superman? Thanks again!

The traitor of the team is suprisingly Superman himself.
This was an odd development, since Superman was the one that contacted Batman and Bruce for help in the first place.

Superman is being controlled by a Starro type creature (I do not believe they named him in the episode) that took control of him. It is the one of the creatures Superman put into his Fortress after the Lobo episode from Superman: The Animated Series. Since Superman could not find all of the creatures home worlds, he kept some in a personal Zoo.

It seemed to sometimes let Superman freen from its control, as there were times Superman was still a good guy.

I know at one point Old Bruce gave Terry some Green Kryptonite to use on Superman, but Terry was reluctant to use it on him as he felt that it was wrong to use it on Superman, the Greatest Superhero, or rather, one of the greatest. (Comment he made to Bruce as to why he did not use it, and correcting himself so as not to offend Batman)

This episode also made an allusion to how Batman would always only be a part time member of the Justice League, something they would carry through the Justice League series, and was fully noted in the episode of Justice League where Superman was believed to have died.

Was a really good episode, and thanks to this, we did get the Justice League animated series, since they were able to figure out how to make it work.
