Whats up with Superman’s suit in Batman Beyond?
I have been wondering this for a while. In Batman Beyond we see Superman in a silver suit. Why does he change the colors on his costume? I know this was not explained on the show, but I do know that Terry has made many guest appearances in the DCU, and even had a six part mini-series. Does anyone have an answer?
It’s just supposed to look futuristic and different. There was recently a Batman/Superman Annual comic book that featured the two partnering up. I haven’t read it, but there might be some sort of explanation there.
In truth, the costume is pretty similar to the suit Superman wore when he came back from the dead in 1993: black w/ a white or silver “S”, and no cape. Perhaps the animators on Batman Beyond were paying homage to that suit.
