Batman Robin’s Reckoning

The origins of the Bat?

What episodes or movies best or most clearly tell the origins of Batman in the DC animated universe (DCAU)? As in the animated series from the 1990′s. All I’ve seen in terms of origin episodes are “Robin’s Reckoning” and “Old Wounds” and those are for Dick Grayson’s Robin/Nightwing character. If there aren’t any origin episodes for Batman/Bruce Wayne, are there any episodes about Batman’s early years in Gotham as he tries to gain a foothold as a hero or vigilante? If so, which episodes are they?

There really is no definitive “origin” storyline in any of the Batman TAS episodes, only flashbacks.
Batman:Mask of the Phantasm gives you somewhat of a telling of his origin/ early yrs.
Batman: Gotham Knight touches on his early yrs, before he puts on the suit.
I don’t follow ‘The Batman’ or ‘Brave & the Bold’ animated series so I couldn’t tell you if there was an origin storyline.

Though it has nothing to do w/ the DC animated universe, Batman Begins is the only medium that tells his origin…and does it best, IMO.
